1 phase pulse resolution to simulate drive tooth pulse count. Tooth count config 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32…  
I may be told use one phase on the current encoder but resolution to high and miss pulse count unless running slowly.  
Application - Tracking items using shift registers.
