I was wondering if there is a way to get FactoryIO to talk to PLCs that are on a seperate subnet. Our network is set up with a netmask of 255.255.248.0 to allow UDP packets to cross between “local” subnets (e.g. xxx.xxx.160.xxx can see xxx.xxx.164.xxx). RSLinux can see the processors just fine. But when I use FactoryIO it seems to stall and/or not correctly see the PLC.

Due to how the lab (I am in education) is set up, I can not put all computers and PLCs on the same subnet (e.g. xxx.xxx.160.xxx).

In case someone else is having problems, figured out the issue. I was connecting to a Micrologix 1100 but it was an older version and I didn’t realize it… had to change to the “3.0 or older” option and everything worked out fine.
