Hello, I am a student, and I want to learn more about SCADA systems and how to secure them. Factory I/O seems to be a great tool at first glance, but I am not exactly sure, and I will appreciate some assistance. I read some documentation, and I cannot find if it is possible to connect the software to the network like virtualized environment? Does virtual PLC contain appropriate modules, so I can practice to secure it? Do I understand correctly that Starter Edition contains virtual PLC, and I do not need to have actual gear? I will appreciate any hints.
