Thank you VERY much for this great response. Those are really great news.
I think I can speak for the community if I say that for those of use that are more frequently here the development currently is a little bit of a black-box. Not a lot gets confirmed or declined.
Because of that the post that you wrote is a really great insight into the dev status of Factory I/O, and it makes it easier to understand why things might take a little longer (in regards to the reworking of the inner workings of Factory I/O).
I (or we) welcome your quality focused approach, as many use your great software for either educational purposes, or for simulation purposes. Because of this a low amount of bugs is generally more favourable than a ton of buggy features.
Iām really looking forward to the future development of this great software. I can imagine that the last 2 years must have been difficult for you guys too. Keep up the good work, and stay healthy!
Thatās awesome, One thing in this environment, compared to some other forums. You do have access to some talented developers. Itās not like weāre working on modding The Sims. HAHA. Super excited youāre working on opening the development feature for us to help! I hope you get to the point that we can stop using Demo3D.
I really do appreciate the quality experience, with some other software, itās so hard to use because of all the bugs. I do wish you all the best!
That is great to hear. I am hoping that speaking at our OSPE Engineering Conference (7Oct21) will help generate interest and more ideas as well. This year has been very challenging for all of us, I am hoping to create more content over the next few months. Being able to import or convert existing scenes would be helpful although I understand this may not be possible. Great work ā¦ looking forward to seeing the improvements.
The team is getting bigger and working full-time on this. We canāt wait to share what we are working on with all of you. Time really does seem to flyā¦
Super excited to see if there is an update on the big game plans.
I would like to add one small thing to the current potential of the Crane. I would like to see if we can have the Fork Stroke as an analog feedback. The Lift and Drive currently use Analog, but the fork unit remains digital.
Hi there. Iām new in this forum.
I read about wishlist discussion.
Something I canāt get is why there isnāt more coloured buttons. For instance, we are required a blue button after pressing safety button (that should be usually closed). Also, cursor buttons could be also very useful.
Is there any way to customize this buttons?
Thanks
Thank you for your interest in our project. We appreciate your support as we work to complete it. We want to provide an update on what weāve been doing. Firstly, weāve had to adapt to some industry changes, which has been a learning curve for us. Secondly, weāve switched to a different platform, which has required us to put in extra time and effort. We made this decision after assessing Unityās new pricing policy (and runtime fees) and the changes in the engineās technical direction. Weāre confident that this new platform will help us deliver the best possible outcome. We appreciate your understanding and encouragement as we continue to work towards completion.
An engine change of a program like yours is no small undertaking. I understand, that this takes a lot of time. Best of luck to you guys!
Can you give us some insight how far along you are on the migration path?
Also, you have some automation industry experts here, this forum can also go both ways.
The development is progressing smoothly. However, itās hard to quantify the exact progress made. Time goes by really fast when you get close to a heavy project like this one
As soon as I have a realistic public announcement/release estimation, Iāll post it here.
