The big Factory I/O Wishlist (Discussion)

@janbumer1 you have good eyes

I dig the new look, and excited about some of the new out of the box options for elements. Since the graphics have such a drastic change, was there an engine change?

If I see water jugs in some of the images, are there now filling lines to expand upon the tanks from before? That would be really cool with some piping, analog valves that you can tune for flow control.

I am excited to see some of the element configurations, and how that has changed.

How goes the bug patching? After some of the other integrators I’ve gotten to work with lately, that’s just future release features.

Wishing y’all the best!

First time commenter here. Getting into to Learning PLC and conveyor systems.

This stuff is amazing! Is there a feature list out for this new version yet, also how will the Pricing/ License be? If I purchase Factory IO now, will I be able to upgrade when these new updates are out or should I wait until this releases?

@zachary.kacel

Welcome to the community, and thank you for your kind words.

We’re currently working hard to reach a public Beta version, so stay tuned for that. Once we’re ready for release, we’ll make a proper announcement with the full feature list.

As for pricing, we’ll have an upgrade plan for existing customers. So if you’re eager to dive in right now, go for it!

May we apply for the beta version for testing?

@bob.chen It most likely will be publicly open. I’ll post details about it once we reach that milestone.

Hi Bruno:

A couple of questions:

1- Can scenes created in the new version be imported?

2- Is this being taken into account?

Regards.

@amjavi6 Yes, there will be an import feature. However, it will require user intervention since most parts have different sizes.

Hi Bruno:

If that’s the case, it shouldn’t be a big problem if we divide and import the scene in blocks. Not having to recreate the scenes is an advantage, with all that entails. However, I don’t know if you’re aware that sometimes the problem isn’t creating the scene or writing the program; sometimes it’s fine-tuning it so that everything runs perfectly, especially considering the communication times of everything running on the PC simultaneously. I’m speaking from experience.

And on another note, I’d also like to know if what I’ve outlined in this same post regarding computer vision is being implemented…
