I’m a newbie in Factory IO, but not in plc programming.
My question is:
Can I connect my PLC Sim Advanced, which is located on a VM, with Factory IO, which is located on my Host?
Because my Host is more powerful than the VM’s.
I’m using different TIA versions, so that’s the reason I have several VMs.
Factory IO is working in a VM Ware VM, after I did some adjustments with the graphics. But still issues, that it gets frozen from time to time.
In the Hyper-V VM, the processor gets to 100% and the running in the Factory IO is not usable, bc everything’s goes so slow. Sensors are flickering and so on.
VM’s are Hyper-V VM’s. TIA V16-V19.
Host is Dell precision 5690 with 64 GB RAM.
Factory IO Siemens license.
I’m looking forward to getting some Ideas if that’s possible at all or not.
