Contribution to the factory io project 84 (Database with script in HMI)

Hello:

I want to continue delving deeper into the script-based programming system included in screens. It’s a little-known topic, obviously, always has its limitations, and can’t be used for important tasks, but it can be used in simpler cases.

This project is very easy to do because, as I said, the goal is to gain a deeper understanding of scripts, trying to use programming techniques to create scripted functions that can be very interesting in a given case. They would allow you to do something on the same screen that the client doesn’t even expect.

It goes without saying that students who have a grasp of this type of code will have the best future in the workforce.

Here’s the outline. I’ll share the scene at the end, but if anyone wants it, you can request it by email.

Greetings

Hello:

If all went well, this is the result.

This project is very simple to complete, but the goal is to learn how to work with databases within an HMI display, obviously with the limitations that this entails, understand scripts from a programmer’s perspective, and use them as if they were a programming language. I haven’t even been familiar with them at this level, and I can tell you that I now know them much better thanks to FACTORY IO, because without the simulator, this simple yet difficult project wouldn’t have been possible.
