Factory IO is crashing because it is unable to initialize the graphics device.
When running on a VM, this is usually because 3D acceleration is disabled.
I suggest you to make sure that the option for 3D graphics acceleration is enabled in the VM guest settings, and that a considerable amount of VRAM is available.
