Cannot connect to S7-PLCSimV5

I’m experiencing difficulties connecting to PLCsim V5. I’ve already read similar reports about this issue in the forum, but without a solution.

I’ve configured the hardware exactly according to your step-by-step guide. Could you please help me resolve this problem?

Could you please check what version of PLCSIM V5 you have?
Version V5.4 + Sp8+Upd2 is known to have problems connecting with Factory I/O, so we recommend updating PLCSIM to version: V5.4 + Sp8+Upd3.
