I’m using Factory I/O with the Allen-Bradley EtherNet/IP driver connected to CCW Micro800 Simulator. Communication works, but the I/O response is very slow with noticeable delays.
Has anyone found settings or a better communication method to improve performance? Would using a physical Micro800 PLC instead of the simulator significantly reduce the delay?
Hi jmukuami:
What you are experiencing is normal to a certain extent; anything acting as an intermediary between elements will slow down the process, as you are adding up the scan cycles of each intermediary.
If you connect directly to the physical PLC—bypassing the intermediaries—communication should improve significantly.
Regards.
Thank you, I will try buying a physical plc
