The only driver I can get to work with the encoder is the MHJ Driver. The other drivers I have tried (Allen-Bradley, MODBUS both client and server) don’t appear to be fast enough to capture all of the pulses. Am I doing something wrong or are the other drivers just to slow on updates.

It depends on several factors, such as network reliability (works better on wired networks), how the PLC communication module is configured, and even if your computer is doing other network tasks at the same time.
The lower the frequency you run the encoder the best results you will get. Also, using a simulated PLC on your local computer may help. You can find two videos done by @wayneschaefer on how o use the encoder, maybe it helps.

Would be great if encoder featured options to adjust resolution. Something like tooth pulses
