Hi everyone,
I would like to share an education and certification training program that I have been developing in collaboration with Siemens.
In this program, Factory I/O is integrated into Siemens SEC certification courses as a dynamic visualization platform.
The core focus remains Siemens automation and control technologies. However, by using Factory I/O to simulate various machine and equipment operations, students can more intuitively understand the role of the controller and how automation systems work in practice. This also makes it easier to cultivate automation talent through a learning-by-doing and learning-through-play approach.
Currently, we are promoting Factory I/O across multiple educational levels, from junior high schools to universities of science and technology. At each educational stage, we have observed different perspectives and use cases for Factory I/O.
Our next objective is to introduce AI into the learning process and establish an educational model that combines:
AI × PLC × Factory I/O
The vision is to create a more interactive and intelligent learning environment where students can leverage AI as a learning assistant, use PLCs to implement control logic, and validate their ideas through Digital Twin simulation in Factory I/O.
I believe this approach represents an important step toward the future of Industry 4.0 education and workforce development.
I would be interested in hearing how others are integrating AI, PLC programming, and simulation platforms into their training programs. Thank you for the discussion.
Regards
